Paintings in this series were created between 2005 and 2018. They are emotional pieces, capturing an internal landscape over a decade. Feelings of elation and deep sorrow convey heartbroken resignation: it was, it is and it will be. Only this time, in an updated version of Hemingway’s classic, it is an old woman and the sea, no marlin left.
